Wake Up With the Cinco de Mayo Heist from ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’
In a down period for network sitcoms in a post “The Office,” post “Parks & Recreation” world, I feel like “Brooklyn Nine- Nine” has never quite gotten the love it deserves. And that includes me. I mean, check out that dialogue. The pace of that banter. The layered subtext of the writing. About five different plot threads being established involving like a dozen different characters. And that’s all before the credits roll. Just amazing.
it’s enough to make you wish Cinco de Mayo was a regular sitcom trope like Christmas, Thanksgiving, or the surprise birthday party that goes awry and hilarity ensues. Happy holiday anyway.
